Want to manage your hardware crypto wallets on your phone? You’re in luck if you have a Samsung Galaxy device, as the company has just rolled out support for these gizmos.
The South Korea giant has been a supporter of cryptocurrencies for some time now. The odyssey, pun always intended, started with the introduction of the Samsung Blockchain Keystore with the Samsung Galaxy S10 that allowed users to securely store these digital coins on the device.
But for those of you who prefer cold, dedicated storage, then Samsung is now supporting hardware wallets directly in the Blockchain Wallet app.
It will allow you to carry out transactions or import funds into the phone as needed.
You will need to be running Android 9 or newer on your devices to be able to manage these hardware wallets, and these can be connected via Bluetooth or using a USB cable.
For Bluetooth, you will need to have a Galaxy phone that supports the Blockchain Keystore, which includes most Samsung flagships since the Galaxy S10. The company maintains a full list of supported devices that you can check.
If your phone does not have support for the Blockchain Keystore, then you can still manage hardware wallets by physically connecting them with a USB cable.
With the world of crypto expanding massively, this development comes at a good time for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
